As we write this blog post we have to take a deep breath and just go for it! That is because it is never fun asking for money. There must be some knack that professional fund raisers have, but we surely haven’t found it yet.

The big event that we have all been waiting for is now 5 months away – The Trial of the Plant where the South African government will answer to our charges of enacting unlawful laws. In order that our legal team can be the best that they can be and in order that we have a watertight case and all the backup we need, we are flying in experts in the Cannabis field to give evidence at the trial. That takes money, especially seeing as our international experts are paid in dollars. We all know the sad state of the Rand right now. We have managed to keep this campaign going for over 5 years using only donations, proceeds from events and infrequent sales of merchandise. So far so good but we are now in the realms of  international currencies and it’s starting to hurt..

We have elected to go with an Indiegogo campaign as this will allow us to reach both local and international supporters. Please donate what you can, either as an individual or get together with a group of your friends who love this plant. We only have one chance at this. The campaign lasts for 42 (short of the zero for 420!) days but we ask that you, our closest supporters here in SA consider donating as soon as possible so that the campaign gains immediate momentum.

We challenge you to forgo that bag of expensive cheese, just for once, and donate the proceeds towards never having to look over your shoulder again. We hope you enjoy the campaign page and video we have put together.
