2025 Centenary of Cannabis Prohibition
The 19th February 2025 will mark 100 years of Global Cannabis Prohibition. The Cannabis Embassy, together with Fields of Green for ALL, will be sharing various themed online and international events to celebrate not only the Centenary of Prohibition, but also how much has changed in recent years to move away from Hard Prohibition towards more Human Rights and Evidence based policies and regulation globally.
The Haze Club Settled
As amicus curiae in the matter, Fields of Green for ALL has received notice of the appellants withdrawal of their appeal in the Supreme Court of Appeal in Bloemfontein.
Cannabis Africana Wrap Up
Last week we gathered at the University of Cape Town to wrap up the Cannabis Africana project. A collaboration between the Universities of Bristol and Cape Town - departments of Criminology and Policy Studies - this was a research project looking into “Drugs and Development in Africa”, with particular emphasis on Cannabis.
