Whilst we are fighting many injustices in South Africa around Cannabis prohibition and imminent legalisation, we must not forget that we fall part of a greater global Cannabis community and movement. Countries and governments can learn from South Africa’s Cannabis journey and vice versa.

In December 2020, the United Nations Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND) will vote on various Cannabis scheduling recommendations made by the World Health Organisation (WHO).

Fields of Green for ALL is calling on all NGOs, civil organisations, Dagga Private Clubs and any other interested parties to sign two important endorsement statements ahead of the vote next month. Even if you do not sign please read the endorsement statements which will give you a solid background into Cannabis issues outside of South Africa.

The deadline is midnight tonight and the endorsement only takes a few minutes of your time.

The first endorsement is called “Support patient access to medicine, vote yes!” and is for: Patients Groups Networks; Cannabis Reform Organizations; Other NGOs Supporting Medical Cannabis Access

The second endorsement is called “Towards science-based scheduling of Cannabis sativa and other controlled herbal medicines” and is for: Science and Research Organisations; Doctors, Nurses and Caregivers; Health and Human Rights Advocacy Organisations

Fields of Green for ALL would like to thank our international colleagues for working tirelessly on Cannabis reform on a global level.
