The 2013 Comrades Marathon is upon us. As you probably know by now, in conjunction with Below The Lion, we have sponsored the remarkable marathon athlete Henry Mngomezulu to run this years race. We will arrive in Durban late on Friday 31st May and have appointments to attend to that evening.
We have confirmed a venue for a one hour DC presentation and a meet and greet from 3pm on Saturday afternoon, the 1st June. The owners of Yossi’s Cafe, 127 Helen Joseph road, Glenwood, have been kind enough to host us for our presentation. There will be a cover charge of R30. We will have DC Infopacks, T-shirts, Stickers and Badges for you to purchase to fund the revolution at the event. Come and meet the Dagga Couple and Henry and get the latest updates on the campaign.
We have established that it will be impossible to get anywhere near the start line on Sunday morning but we will be at the finish line in Pietermaritzburg. Meet us at the Pietermaritzburg Cricket Oval from 4pm, Sunday 2nd June.
Henry is feeling fit and super amped for the race! We know that our road trips are vital for the success of our campaign. The internet and social media only reach a fraction of our supporters so we have learned that meeting people face to face is priceless. However, at R13 / litre, traveling costs are always a challenge. You can support our efforts in 3 ways:
Donate by EFT into our independently audited fund: Jazzfarm Trading Cons Fund, Nedbank, Broadacres branch code 132805, Current/Cheque a/c no 1011773651.
Buy a 420D-Day T-Shirt. Made from upcycled plastic bottles with long sleeves for winter, R200 includes overnight postage.
Invest in an DC Info Pack & you can support the cause & spread the word at the same time. R100 gets you a bunch of posters, stickers, flyers & a DVD of Dagga documentaries. Postage included.
Below The Lion, SA’s leading Cannabis Culture magazine, are co-sponsoring this event and one of their journalists will be traveling with us. Big thanks to BTL for their ongoing support.

We’re super excited to be in KZN with its balmy weather, we might even dip our toes into the ocean! See you on Saturday at Yossi’s Cafe or on Sunday in Pietermaritzburg…
